  • Marriah Barnett

    Marriah is a corporate leader with a background in designing and executing complex, transformational, business improvement initiatives. Marriah is currently a Manager within Baltimore Gas & Electric’s technical services division. Marriah was the founding president of the Network of Exelon Women Baltimore chapter; a women-focused employee resource group organized to support the professional development of Exelon employees in the Baltimore.

    She also serves as a board member of CHANGE, Inc., a non-profit based in Westminster, MD that partners with and supports individuals with disabilities to achieve community integration and independence through personal choices.

  • Rachael Bradley Montgomery

    Rachael has been working in disability-related education, inclusion, usability, and accessibility for over 20 years but when she developed chemical sensitivity a few years ago, she gained insight into just how much of day-to-day life takes place away from the larger organizations she typically supports. Rachael founded Accessible Community to connect people with disabilities to the communities around them.

    Rachael is a digital accessibility specialist at the Library of Congress and an adjunct lecturer at the University of Maryland’s College of Information Studies (iSchool). She co-chairs the W3C Accessibility Guidelines Working Group and was previously a co-facilitator of the Cognitive and Learning Disabilities task force. Rachael has a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an M.S. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

  • Katy Schuman Clemens, Esq.

    Katy is an attorney with Carpenter Chartered, one of the premier law firms in the country solely dedicated to assisting veterans and their dependents and survivors with obtaining disability benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. She has been in this field for seventeen years, both practicing and teaching. In addition, Katy has personal, advocacy, and/or accessibility experience with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, blind, wheelchair-enabled, mental health, and neurodivergent communities. Katy believes strongly in working intersectionally, and brings an LGBTQIA+ and anti-racist lens to all of her work. She has formerly served on the boards of the National Lawyers Guild and Columbia Bands, Inc.

  • Kate Trask

    Kate has been working for over 30 years in local government. Her work has primarily been in the field of Parks and Recreation, which includes therapeutic recreation, facility management, recreation programming, event planning, parks maintenance, and executive management.

    Kate currently serves as a board member on the Friends of Adaptive Recreation in Loudoun County, VA, and has experience with other non-profit groups such as Virginia Special Olympics and VSA arts. She is a certified ADA Coordinator working for the Town of Leesburg, Virginia. From both professional and personal experience, Kate has first-hand experience on the barriers to equal access.
